Networking

Without a network no communication and without communication no services… is just a slogan from the challenging world of networking. Every service your organization uses runs through a network, whether it’s inside or outside your organization.

However, the network is often seen as a commodity, “something that is there” and “that is simply used”. In our opinion, this is an underestimation of the importance of a well-functioning network. Networking is an indispensable foundation for your business operations.

Thanks to our many years of experience in the area of networking, we know better than anyone which type of network, with which design and security, optimally supports your business operations, now and in the future. Consultancy we offer includes:

Requirements Management

In consultation with you, our consultants ensure that all requirements that are directly or indirectly related to your cloud issues are recorded. They do this by working on a project basis, in which different phases are distinguished.

During the requirements management phase (in project terms “the definition phase”) all stakeholders will be identified and questioned. In this way you can be sure that the project is supported by key players and that is produces a fixed set of requirements.

Netwerk audits

Our consultants can review and assess your current network based on various criteria. These criteria will be agreed upon by you in advance. You can think of “bottlenecks” in your network, status and maintenance of your network, futureproofing of your network, current management load of your network, security status of your network, etcetera. After the audit, you will receive the audit report from us with the research results and well-considered advice on what to do with them.

Indoor/outdoor measurements wireless network

The current trends of mobility, BYOD, CYOD means that your wireless network is becoming an increasingly crucial part of your service. We believe that an optimally functioning wireless network that supports these trends is essential. Our consultants can help you by measuring and assessing the spaces you use based on your requirements for an optimal wireless network design and user experience. Our consultants provide a pre site survey, the technical site survey and a post site survey.

Pre site survey

In this phase, our consultants carry out the following activities, among others:

  • Determining your business requirements
  • Determining the coverage and capacity that your wireless network must meet
  • Analysis of your current wireless network
  • Determine your current wired network infrastructure
  • Determine and consult documentation/reports related to your current wireless network

Technical site survey

In this phase, our consultants carry out the technical site survey. Various components are hereby assessed and determined. For example, consider:

  • Determining the maximum electromagnetic radiation
  • Determining adjacent channel interference
  • Overlap of wireless cells
  • Coverage
  • Signal to Noise Ratio
  • Roaming
  • Etcetera

Post site survey

After the site survey has been completed, our consultants will discuss the following elements with you:

  • The exact coverage ratio and capacity requirements per location, Spectrum Analysis with information on potential sources of interference
  • Coverage analysis with information on all RF cells/floodplains (heating maps)
  • Access point positioning/implementation recommendations, including antenna orientation, channels, power settings, installation techniques, cabling (implementation diagrams)
  • Capacity and Performance Analysis with results of application throughput testing
